Consultation

Your orthodontist reviews orthodontic records and completes an examination to confirm you’re a candidate for InSmile™ Braces.

Smile Design

Using digital technology, your orthodontist and the InSmile™ Braces team create a customized treatment plan.

Bonding

Braces are placed behind your teeth, and your first custom Smartwire® is engaged to begin aligning your smile.

Progress

You'll receieve periodic checkups to change your Smartwire® to the next in the sequence.

Braces Off

At the end of treatment, your orthodontist will remove your InSmile™ Braces, completing your smile transformation.

How InSmile™ Braces Work

InSmile™ Braces combine digital precision with advanced Smartwire® engineering to create a seamless treatment experience. Each component is custom-made for your smile, ensuring predictable movement, greater comfort, and less time in the chair.

Precise Placement

Your braces are placed using a custom tray made for your teeth, allowing your orthodontist position each bracket according to your custom Smile Design plan.

Smartwire® Technology

Each Smartwire® is designed with a GentleForce system that supports controlled tooth movement as part of your treatment plan. Your orthodontist will update wires over time as your smile progresses.

No Pokey Wire Ends

Our Smartwires® feature a closed-loop design that helps keep wire ends contained as teeth move, supporting a smooth, low-profile fit along the tongue side of the teeth.

Day to Day Care, Made Simple

Brush Twice Daily

Brush thoroughly every morning and night with fluoride toothpaste to keep your teeth, brackets, and smile clean.

Floss with Ease

Because the InSmile™ Braces SmartWire® curves below the gums, flossing remains similar to flossing without braces.

Avoid Hard/Sticky Foods

Limit foods that can damage brackets or wires, such as caramel, popcorn, or very crunchy snacks. Softer options are always safer.

Comfort and Speech: What to Expect

Lingual braces sit close to the tongue, so you may notice changes in speech or mild tongue irritation at first. Reading aloud, staying hydrated, and consistent brushing help speed up adaptation.

It’s common for people to experience mild soreness or tongue sensitivity when adjusting to new appliances. Your orthodontist may suggest over-the-counter options and the use of orthodontic wax for temporary relief. Warm salt-water rinses are often recommended in dental care for general comfort. As you continue treatment, your orthodontist will check your progress and help you manage any discomfort along the way.
